Tribute to Clive Owen

I was thrilled when I learned that one of my all-time favorite actors Clive Owen was going to be appearing in person at the Mill Valley Film Festival, even more thrilled when I scored get a ticket to see him. I'm happy to report that he is a doll! As good looking in person as he is on the big screen, gracious and generous -- as well as uber cool. When a big black Escalade pulled up at the theater, those waiting thought, here we go, but it was only the advance men who got out. I thought to myself, wouldn't it be cool if Clive just came strolling up? Sure enough, a few minutes later that's exactly what he did.

Unfortunately, I didn't snap any pics that do him justice so in deference to his image I will refrain from posting, but I am posting a clip of him being interviewed so you can hear his marvelous voice (sadly, the theater was too dark and I was at the wrong angle to catch his marvelous face). He went on to relate that he did indeed go to the Royal Academy.... and the rest is history.

It was awesome to see
Croupier on the big screen - it has stood the test of time and I would recommend, if you haven't see it, go rent it!
